18th July 2019 marked the exact centenary of the start of Devon General’s bus services and the Devon General Society marked the occasion by recreating a trip on one of the first routes, Service 2 fron Exeter to Torquay via Dawlish, Teignmouth and Newton Abbot. We were delighted to contribute DR661 and 513 to the event and we were joined by Stagecoach South West’s DG commemorative-liveried Scania 15893. Civic dignataries from the towns en route and other invited guests were conveyed to a reception at Torre Abbey.
