Our 1937/53 AEC ‘Light Six’ ETT 995 took part in the Historic Vehicle Gathering in the grounds of Powderham Castle, Kenton, on Saturday 11th July 2026. It ran in the morning’s commercial vehicle cavalcade, and was then on display with the other historic buses and coaches.
Positioned alongside the classic Devon General Service 2 route from Exeter to Newton Abbot, the rally site was a fitting location for us to bring back memories of the old company. Our volunteers were kept busy answering visitors’ questions about our bus and the work of the Trust, on what was a very hot day.
This was our first visit to the event, which is run by the Crash Box & Classic Car Club and is is billed as “probably the biggest classic car show in the South West”.
