Our 1952 AEC Regent III NTT 661 – now in its Platinum Jubilee year – took part in the Taunton Vintage Bus Running Day on Sunday 15th May 2022. It ran three round trips between Sheppy’s Cider Farm (where the running day was based) and the West Somerset Railway at Bishop’s Lydeard, calling en route at Castle Way in Taunton town centre.  With sunny weather to start the day the free bus services were busy and we carried around 250 passengers.

We would like to congratulate the organisers on assembling a fascinating selection of vintage buses and coaches, including two other Devon General vehicles – 1934 AEC Regent OD 7497 (converted to open top in 1955) and 1959 AEC Reliance coach 890 ADV. We were able to picture NTT 661 and OD 7497 together at Sheppy’s Cider Farm.
