In a joint venture with the Plymouth City transport preservation group, DGOT organised a cavalcade between the two bus and coach stations in Devon whose closure was imminent. To celebrate the heyday of coaching, 20 coaches gathered at Exeter to drive to Plymouth Bretonside, along the traditional route that was used before the A38 South Devon Expressway was opened. The cavalcade stopped en route at Smithaleigh, before arriving in Plymouth, where they were joined by other buses running on a variety of local routes.
